Clown Pants and Resolutions

Happy New Year everyone! I made a resolution to use up my stash as best I can this year, and also to finish all the projects I have either on needles or hibernating. These clown-I mean "Sailor Pants" were on needles since over a year ago when my daughter wanted them and I said I wouldn't buy new yarn for it, but she accepted them anyway in stripes. Believe it or not, she actually wears them!
I also made these ski hats using up some Knit Picks Merino Style I have had for over two years. I bought it to do a baby stripes blanket from Knitty.com, but had to come to the realization that I was never going to do that blanket. It's feltable and I've got lots more, so maybe a purse next??
My other resolution was to bring back the "one Christmas present a month" plan, with a little more forethought this time. I did it two years ago, and at the end, I had a bunch of presents without knowing who to give them to! I ended up keeping half of them. What's the first present for January? A ski hat!
